Here it is!  Finally!

A few quick notes. PLEASE READ THESE!

You jumped ahead and read the cast list first didn’t you? 

I understand.

I did a few unusual things with the script as usual.  One of the great inequities in theatre is that more women are in theatre than men but there are more male roles than female roles.  I’ve never been able to figure that out!  So, as usual, I have adapted some male roles to female.  Don’t be scared if I left the male name in the cast list – they are all played as female.

I also have taken some of the massive number of lines from the Stage Manager and created the Assistant Stage Manager roles.  The Stage Manager role is still very large, but should be more manageable in our short rehearsal process.

Also, several of my younger actors had extremely strong auditions but no large role available for them in this particular cast.  That is one of the many reasons I am using the understudy system.  I want these actors to get the work and feel of the larger roles in the show.  I am hoping to add a middle school only show to our schedule in future years to provide more opportunities for younger actors.

First rehearsal:  Monday, April 16,  3:45-6:30 PM, in The Pageant Wagon (Mr. Strickland’s room.)  Bring a pencil and any additional conflicts you just discovered.
