I order from Discount Dance often (in fact, I just ordered a new pair of taps from them.) They are a good, trustworthy vendor.  You will be able to find the shoes below in other places as well.  Shoes comparable to the examples I have given are fine too.

I have included two categories of shoes for you to choose from: a recommended selection of higher quality shoes and a more inexpensive selection.  For our workshops over the next 9 months or so, shoes from either category will work just fine.  For the show itself, dancers will need one of the better quality shoes.

You can also participate in the workshops with a hard-soled show without taps.  However, it would be more beneficial in tap shoes.

Please read the instructions for sizing carefully before ordering.  Most dance shoes require a slightly different size from street shoes.
